MEDIA BRIEFS: Relaunch of Hit 40 UK

NETWORK CHART SHOW: The Network Chart Show, known as the Pepsi Chart since 1993, has relaunched as Hit 40 UK. The new show promises greater listener interaction via brand extensions such as a website and SMS text clubs. It is owned by Network Chart, a newly formed company comprising Capital, GWR, Chrysalis and Scottish Radio Holdings. The relaunch comes as Emap Performance has syndicated its Smash Hits chart across non-Emap stations for the first time.
