CPR wins pitch to promote seminar on heart disease

The European Society of Cardiology has drafted in healthcare agency CPR to boost its profile with consumer media across Europe.

The agency won a six-way competitive pitch to promote a media seminar set for 18 February, at which cardiology specialists will speak on subjects such as the inequality in the provision of care for heart-disease sufferers across Europe.

In addition, CPR aims to attract health reporters from the national media and correspondents from medical titles to the forum.

The ESC, which has a secretariat in Nice, France, comprises national societies of cardiology from 47 countries across Europe and North Africa.

Its primary aim is to 'improve the quality of life of the European population by reducing the impact of cardiovascular disease'.

CPR director Moira Gitsham leads a four-strong CPR account team, reporting to ESC press and PR officer Camilla Dormer.
