STOP PRESS: PNC Telecom founder set to issue proceedings

CITY: PNC Telecom founder Geremy Thomas is set to issue libel proceedings against the firm's retained PR agency Hansard Communications, PNC chairman Lord Stevens and the Evening Standard. Thomas alleges that a letter purportedly written by Stevens - and published in the Standard - was defamatory. The Standard declined to comment, while Hansard and PNC said their lawyers were responding to initial letters from Thomas's legal advisers.
