C&A to handle PR push in new year for Impulse brand

Lever Faberge has hired Cairns & Associates to handle a consumer PR blitz for its body-spray brand Impulse.

C&A won the business after a four-way pitch, in which it beat incumbent agency of three years, Freud Communications.

C&A will support a major Impulse marcoms push early next year surrounding a new fragrance, with consumer PR supporting a major ad campaign that will target women in their teens and 20s.

The new fragrance - Siren - will be in stores next month.

C&A deputy MD Charlotte Clarke heads a five-strong account team, reporting to LF's Impulse brand activation manager Kay Dickinson.

Last month C&A lost a two-way pitch for LF's fabric conditioner brand Comfort to Cow Communications (PRWeek, 29 November).

However, it continues to handle PR for LF's Sure, Timotei, Vaseline Intensive Care and Non-Bio Persil brands.
