INTERNATIONAL: Musee du Louvre restructure sees two PR shops join

PARIS: The Musee du Louvre has restructured its comms department and taken on external PR support for the first time.

Louvre director of comms Christophe Monin has led the re-organisation, which has seen the department restructured into three divisions: temporary exhibitions; institutional communications and non-exhibition activities.

French PR agency Tandem has won a brief to provide media relations advice, in particular the Louvre's upcoming series of movie showings.

Coinciding with Tandem's appointment, fellow Paris agency Anakrusis has been hired to promote the museum's series of musical concerts.

Meanwhile, the temporary exhibitions department is concentrating on a PR push in the new year, to raise awareness of an exhibition of manuscripts by artists including Leonardo de Vinci and drawings by Michelangelo.
