One of the biggest days on the PR calendar is finally here. PRWeek is back in Chicago for PRDecoded: Purpose Principles with a speaker and panelist list full of boldface names. The parent of WeWork is once again down a top communications executive. Chief communications officer Jimmy Asci has left the company. If that sounds somewhat familiar, it’s because Asci’s predecessor, Jennifer Skyler, recently departed the We Company for American Express

Asci isn’t the only top communications executive stepping down. MSLGroup global CEO Guillaume Herbette is exiting four years after joining the Publicis Groupe firm. And Jennifer Swint is leaving her role as Porter Novelli’s global president as her role is eliminated. 

Major drug distributors are in negotiations to settle opioid cases brought by state and local authorities. A settlement by McKesson, AmerisourceBergen and Cardinal Health could open the door for a broad settlement by pharmaceutical companies to opioid-related lawsuits, according to The Wall Street Journal. 

Instagram will NOT be there for you -- or at least it wasn’t for a little while on Tuesday morning after Jennifer Aniston joined the platform and briefly crashed it. Aniston had a million and a half followers after just a few hours on the app, according to the Los Angeles Times.
