Launched this month is a collection of The Daily Telegraph's Alex cartoons, by Russell Taylor and Charles Peattie.
The book, The Best of Alex 2002, tracks the adventures of Alex and his trials and tribulations through one of the worst years the City has seen.
In it, an intriguing newcomer makes an appearance - 'Nick the financial PR man'. The industry has wrongly assumed that Nick, with his obsession for meeting the morning papers' deadlines, was ex-FD boss Nick Miles.
Not so. To Miles' surprise, it is apparently another Nick. But Taylor refuses to give any clues as to the real identity behind the cartoon PRO.
Diary would be grateful for any ideas doing the rounds.
