Round six - questions on recent stories in PRWeek - caused most controversy at the event, organised by the PRCA's FrontLine arm.
Three teams - GCI, Phipps PR and Firefly Communications - were caught red-handed smuggling in A4 photocopies or actual copies of the mag. Shameful.
Despite this, GCI scored an impressive seven out of ten in that round while Firefly and Phipps scored a measly three each.
Equally surprising was that having invited PRWeek to set the questions, the team was told it would be awarded 'nil points' for that round, scuppering the team's chances of lifting the trophy. After consultation, PRCA events chief Gail Bratchpiece backed down and agreed to award PRWeek's team the average mark.
The winners of the quiz were VLP. The wooden spoon went to Shire Health, while Manning Selvage & Lee won the award for best dressed team.
