Apparently not, as August. One Communications chief executive Stuart Handley proves with his latest gimmick.
In a drive to, as Handley puts it, 'give my own dog food a go', the CEO tested the wares of recently won client Lumenis - a treatment for anything from scarring and varicose veins to wrinkles and hair removal.
Lumenis works by using - here comes the science bit - 'intense pulsed light' (IPL) to 'photorejuvenate' the skin.
Guinea pig Handley opted for the hair removal treatment in a bid to be smooth and hair-free in time for a trip to Thailand. Ever the opportunistic publicist, he says: 'It really does work... I was pleasantly surprised by how quick, easy (and inexpensive) it was'. Not that he's been paid to say that, of course.
Now the precedent has been set, the possibilities are endless. Are we to see Handley 'eating more of his own dog food'... bearing in mind August. One also works for skimpy lingerie brand Chantelle?
