Emma Moore, who joined this week from The Sunday Times Style magazine, will be responsible for launching the unisex beauty pages.
She takes on the newly created role of beauty and grooming director.
Jeremy Langmead, who took up his post as editor-in-chief of the style magazine this week, said: 'Wallpaper* will be the first publication to feature beauty pages for both men and women.'
It is the latest change to Wallpaper*'s format since the departure of founder Tyler Brule earlier this year. From September, the bi-monthly title has doubled the amount of pages it devotes to fashion.
Tony Chambers, former art director of Conde Nast's GQ, joined as creative director last week.
Suzanne Trocme has also been appointed architecture and design editor.
Langmead was formerly Life & Style editor of London's Evening Standard (PRWeek, 6 September). He also edited The Sunday Times Style magazine and IPC's now-defunct Nova.
Moore, formerly beauty director at Style, was at The Sunday Times for six years.
