MEDIA BRIEFS: Thomas Catan appointed at The Financial Times

FINANCIAL TIMES: Thomas Catan has been appointed investigative reporter at The Financial Times. He joins a team headed by Stephen Fidler, the paper's chief reporter, and will cover corporate, economic and political issues. Catan has worked at the FT since 1999, when he reported from New York and then Buenos Aires. He was previously a reporter at Dow Jones newswire service. He started in journalism at the Mexico City Times.
