The acquisition formalises a long-standing business relationship between Staniforth and BDH/TBWA in Manchester, and comes as part of an ongoing move towards integrated comms in the UK by TBWA.
The Manchester and London-based agency, headed by founder and chairman Phil Staniforth, has worked with BDH/TBWA on projects over the past ten years, including this year's British Council campaign 'Brother UK'.
BDH/TBWA chief executive Bryn Butler said: "In Paris and Amsterdam we have several companies working together that provide the full gamut of communications, which is what we're trying to aim for here."
Staniforth Communications launched in 1978. It has a turnover of £6m and employs 60 people, 45 in Manchester, and 15 in London. The agency will retain its existing structure as part of the deal.
