DIARY: Brainy council adviser goes to top of the class

Representatives from diplomacy, parliament and med-icine have been swept aside by a council adviser in Foresight Communications' inaugural political quiz.

London Borough of Tower Hamlets labour group adviser Joel Brookfield was one of six out of 200 competitors on the online quiz to gain 20 out of 20.

All six went through to the tie-break, and were asked to guess the number of people who voted in the last general election. Brookfield came closest with a guess just 400,000 wide of the 26,400,000 answer.

Those that Brookfield beat to the £200 prize include Friends of the Earth PRO Ian Willmore, Pippa Cracknell from Clare Ward MP's office, Debra Fenn who works for Jim Fitzpatrick MP, Anjuli Veall of the British Dental Association and the South Korean Embassy's Amanda Webster.
