MEDIA BRIEFS: Travel to launch in January

SUNDAY TIMES: Travel, a standalone glossy magazine from The Sunday Times, is to launch in January. The bi-monthly title, which will cost £2.95, has been spun off the broadsheet's Travel section. Brian Schofield will edit the new title, which will be produced by River Publishing. The initial circulation target is 100,000 - which would put it 20,000 ahead of its monthly rival, Conde Nast Traveller.
