MEDIA BRIEFS: Deputy editor promoted
MANCHESTER METRO NEWS: Richard Butt, deputy editor of the 300,000-circulation Manchester Metro News, has been promoted to editor. He replaces John Jeffay, who has moved to sister paper the Manchester Evening News as picture editor. The Metro is a freesheet which comes out weekly on a Friday.
