MEDIA BRIEFS: TVhits! to absorb cd:uk

TV HITS: Hachette Filipacchi's teen entertainment title TVhits! is to absorb stablemate cd:uk from December. Merging the titles is a reaction to a dwindling market, according to the publisher. The new entity will be published under the TVhits! banner. The magazine cd:uk was launched in April 2001 as a spin-off from the Saturday morning TV shows SM:tv Live and cd:uk. Editorial director of the merged title is Pauline Haldane.
