The company, whose PR interests are centred on Mancunian consumer shop Osborne PR, has appointed Steeds in a bid to step up its growth rate.
Steeds was a founding director of Citigate Communications, before that agency's acquisition by Incepta. He was group finance director until 1999 before running Incepta's PR, design and branding operations. He left the company in September last year (PRWeek, 21 September 2001), following a shake-up which saw the then executive chairman David Wright assume some of Steeds' duties.
Media Square group operations director Jeremy Middleton said Steeds' track record in building businesses like Citigate was the reason for this hire: 'Our ambition is to grow by acquisition and organically. We are looking at further acquisitions at the moment.'
