C&W to promote web presence of the Premiership

Cohn & Wolfe has landed a consumer PR remit for the FA Premier League's website.

The agency won a six-way pitch to secure the brief, which sees the agency charged with driving internet traffic to www.premierleague.com via a media relations programme.

Before the year's end, the Premier League is to launch the voting process for its 'Ten Seasons Awards', which will mark the decade since the Premier League was set up.

The site, which launched at the start of the football season in August, acts as a portal to the official sites of the 20 Premier League clubs.

Account director Tanya Veingard said C&W would promote the site's statistical archives, goals-scored graphics and a fantasy football game.

Veingard leads a four-strong account team, reporting to Premier League head of commercial relations Nicky Fuller and head of communications and public policy Philip French.
