Kekst CNC hires first global marketing head

Kekst CNC has hired Julia Klein, formerly EMEA marketing and comms director at management consultancy Oliver Wyman, to a new role heading global marketing.

The new London-based director position follows the creation of financial and corporate comms agency Kekst CNC via the merging of Publicis agencies CNC and Kekst last October.

Klein (pictured) spent almost 17 years at Oliver Wyman in a number of marketing leadership positions. Prior to this, she worked at German comms agency Billo PR GmbH, the German American Business Council in Washington DC, and at Ferrero Rocher.

Klein's appointment follows a number of recent hires, including Roland Leithäuser, formerly a senior comms figure at asset management giant BlackRock, as a director in London and Frankfurt; and Helena Norrman, previously chief marketing and comms officer at Ericsson, as a partner and MD at its Nordic branch JKL.

Kekst CNC has more than 600 clients and 250 staffers in 13 offices, including in New York, London, Berlin, and Tokyo, and most recently Hong Kong. It is co-led by Jeremy Fielding and Bernhard Meising, former CEOs of Kekst and CNC respectively.

In 2018, Kekst CNC was ranked second in the MergerMarket league table of agencies that handle the most M&A deals globally by number of transactions (247). It was sixth in the table by value of deals handled ($240.2bn).
