The secret to being a good comms pro in 2019 is... Being ready to adapt and learn. PR is ever evolving, more so in 2019 than ever before. No longer can we just do something because 'it's always been done like that' - any comms pro with that attitude won't last long.
If I could change anything about the PR industry, it would be... The lack of diversity in our industry troubles me. I believe wholeheartedly in the importance of positive discrimination, and would encourage every person of influence working in comms to do just that until we no longer have an issue. We've got a long way to go yet.
I'm inspired by... Two things: books and public transport. Books, because they teach you things you wouldn't otherwise get the chance to learn by taking you to another world. Public transport is fascinating. Try dwelling on a creative idea whilst sat on a bus people watching - your epiphany awaits!
If I wasn't in PR, I'd be... Trying to use my drama degree as a (struggling) actor. Ideally breaking Hollywood but most likely still doing panto at local theatres.
