Having established an influencer marketing practice at Weber Shandwick Scotland – billed as Scotland’s first – Brander has seen the practice grow under her leadership and be tapped into by colleagues across the country. She is a mentor and guest lecturer at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, using this platform to encourage young talent to enter the industry.
The secret to being a good comms pro in 2019 is... Being a good mix of old and new. You need to be able to learn valuable lessons from the past whilst soaking up the present to challenge the future.
If I could change anything about the PR industry, it would be... For the value we add to businesses to be recognised and further appreciated, across the board. Our clients recognise the impact that we have on their bottom line, but for many PR is an afterthought.

If I wasn't in PR, I'd be... Running a patisserie in Paris. At least I'd know how to market it.
