Long-standing managing director David Gardner is joined by a senior leadership team responsible for every aspect of the David Beckham brand and businesses, including all commercial operations, communications, brand partnerships, marketing and financial management.
New London-based offices will act as a single point of contact for the new team, which includes ex-Freuds CEO Nicola Howson. Most recently a senior adviser at Portland, Howson founded Freuds' corporate practice and brings more than 25 years of experience to her strategic advisor role. She was also comms director at ITV Network.
Another ex-Freuds director, Helena Cowpland, will take over the day-to-day running of all commercial partnerships and new business as partnership director.
Isabel May, formerly Burberry's director of comms for EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa) at Burberry, is named as chief marketing officer, and will oversee all aspects of brand and commercial partner marketing and communications, PR, social and digital platforms, special projects and partnerships.
Bella Blenkinsopp, who joined Beckham's team early last year alongside May, is a former account director at Starworks Group and will lead on day-to-day PR as communications manager.
The rest of the team includes:
Creative director: Sara Hemming (ex-visual director at Stella McCartney), will act as creative lead for all commercial and brand activity including shoots and product creation.
Head of digital: James Pabla (ex-director of social and digital for Lewis Hamilton Management), will join in late June to head up all digital activity including strategic platform development and digital partnerships.
Partnership manager: Liz Box (former comms manager at RFU), will take on day to day management of all commercial and brand partnerships.
Content manager: Josef Kaplicky (former researcher at On The Corner Productions), is responsible for all social media content.
Finance director: Simon Lee (formerly Musto).
