Gary Yu, who previously oversaw Asian luxury lifestyle and travel comms group GHC Asia’s expansion into China, has been appointed to lead the new division.

Yu will oversee the delivery of integrated communications solutions to companies in the travel, real estate and luxury lifestyle sectors.

PRCO Asia will open with the following clients: McArthurGlen, Chelsea Barracks and One Wall Street.

"PRCO has long been active in Asia through associate offices. The opening of PRCO Asia allows us to take direct control of clients in the world's most dynamic region, allowing us to provide an entirely seamless service across eight markets," PRCO group chairman Robert Lyle said.

The move into Asia means that PRCO now employs more than 100 staff – at offices in London, Paris, Munich, Milan, Moscow, Dubai, Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Recently, PRCO was appointed as the UK PR agency for Rocco Forte Hotels.
