MEDIA: Time Out's Philips poached by Elle to edit features

London entertainment weekly Time Out has lost one of its most senior journalists to Emap elan glossy Elle.

Rachael Philips, former editor of Time Out's Consume section, joins Elle next week as features editor.

She replaces features director Lisa Grainger, who left earlier this year.

Sophie Wilson, the former J-17 editor who had been acting features editor, will continue to freelance for the magazine.

Consume is one of Time Out's biggest sections, taking in shops, interiors, style, health, gadgets and people.

Elle deputy editor Margi Conklin said Philips' work on the weekly will stand her in good stead. 'Rachael will concentrate on the back of the book: interiors, shopping, decor and travel. She will be looking at what is hot, new and trendy,' she added.

No replacement for Philips has been announced.
