The group has invited Brunswick to take part in the review, alongside City PR rivals College Hill Associates, Financial Dynamics, Finsbury and The Hogarth Partnership.
De Vere corporate comms manager Michelle Galloway said it was happy with the shortlist and will be seeing pitches from the finalists next month with a view to having the agency in place by January 2003.
The pitch follows 18 months of PR and comms reviews across the group, sparked off by De Vere's rebrand from Greenalls in February 2000.
'We're reviewing the financial PR account as a matter of best practice and not due to any dissatisfaction with Brunswick. We didn't want to review our financial PR in the early stages of De Vere's development, but we felt it was now appropriate to do so,' said Galloway.
The brief includes strategic advisory work with the De Vere board and publicity surrounding their results.
'The agency will be supporting our in-house team with financial calendar work, communications with key investors and developing proactive communications programmes with all the financial audiences,' added Galloway.
De Vere repitched its consumer PR account earlier this year, hiring travel specialist agency Synergy (PRWeek, 8 February).
