Recently appointed PR manager Becky Whiley says this is the first time that the body has prepared an integrated marketing push targeting SMEs.
The campaign is set to launch in October. Whiley said: 'We haven't targeted this area specifically before in this way, this will be an integrated marketing campaign which PR will play an important part in.'
Whiley and the body's retained PR firm the Grayling Group will handle PR.
Whiley was appointed to the newly created role in June to handle the day-to-day running of the body's PR efforts with assistance from Grayling. She reports to director of communications and information Sue Martin and joined from agency Ketchum, where she was an account manager.
