Mackinnon-Musson takes Hudson Sandler CEO post

City PR agency Hudson Sandler has reshuffled its senior staff line-up, creating the role of CEO and scrapping the MD post.

Director of two years Alistair Mackinnon-Musson has been promoted to chief executive, while former MD Keith Hann takes on the role of deputy chairman, which was also created as part of the board changes.

Hudson Sandler last month launched overseas with a Paris office and is currently planning a range of new practice areas for the group.

Mackinnon-Musson, formerly a director at the then Square Mile Communications and also at Financial Dynamics, confirmed Hudson Sandler founder and chairman Michael Sandler will be focusing his efforts on building the Paris business, called SFCommunication.

The French bureau is headed by recent recruit Sibylle de Feuilhade-Savelli, who also becomes a director of the agency.

Hann's appointment to deputy chairman likewise reflects a role refocus, allowing him to concentrate on client-facing work.

Mackinnon-Musson said his priority was to work on developing strategies for the agency, which is majority- owned by French marketing services group Havas.

'We are going to tweak what we've already got, but there will be some changes,' he said.

'We are looking at corporate PR and internal communications and also new product areas, which we are developing with sister agency Euro RSCG Biss Lancaster,' he added.

Mackinnon-Musson hinted at possible expansion in the CSR area, alongside potential recruitment to build an internal comms and change management offering, which would tie in with the agency's existing strength in M&A.
