Jaguar PR boss Dyble takes on broader luxury car remit

The Ford Motor Company has promoted Jaguar PR chief Stuart Dyble to head comms for its entire luxury car portfolio.

As well as continuing to oversee PR and public affairs for Jaguar itself, Dyble's role will now include other cars in Ford's Premier Automotive Group (PAG): Land Rover, Aston Martin and Volvo.

Dyble takes over as the group's director of public affairs from Dr Harry Roegner, who has left the group's UK base to return to his native Germany.

He will continue to advise Ford as a consultant, specifically on the German market.

Dyble will divide his time between the group's London base and Jaguar's head office in Coventry. He has been with Ford since 1994, working in public affairs for Ford Britain, Ford of Europe and at the car giant's US base in Michigan.

He was named as a director in 1998, becoming director of communications and public affairs for Jaguar, which includes Jaguar Racing, a year later.

He has previously worked for Japanese car maker Toyota.

The group carries out all PR work for its brands in-house, a situation Colin Cook, PAG director of corporate affairs, says is unlikely to change.

Dyble will report to PAG chief executive Mark Fields, who took over as CEO in April this year following the resignation of Wolfgang Reitzle.

Last month saw a sales slump for Ford in the US continue. The 10.6 per cent drop in car and truck sales came as rival General Motors managed to reverse its sales decline.
