The agency has been hired by Italian coffee brand Lavazza to handle consumer PR and media relations across Austria and Germany. It already holds accounts in Italy and France.
The brief includes press work, events and exhibition advice, with Edelman consultants tasked with raising brand awareness of the world's sixth largest roasted coffee firm.
The campaign is to focus on generating a presence in specialist and consumer media. The agency is also taking over editorial responsibility for Lavazza's German language customer magazine Il Corriere.
Edelman takes over the account from GCI Hering Schuppener which had advised on press and publicity for five years. GCI had to resign the business in the spring, after winning work for Starbucks.
