The division is currently operating with three internal staff, headed by Jonathan Hawker, with external consultants - including lawyers - used where needed.
According to Hawker, who formerly led the agency's European litigation practice, the move is an extension of F-H's existing corporate practice.
'It's an evolution of what we have been doing in crisis and issues management, which include litigation issues,' he said.
Hawker added that while litigation PR practices are prevalent in the US, he believed that few firms currently offer Europe-wide litigation support.
The division will seek to identify potential problems, including activist and stakeholder attacks.
Former BBC, ITN and Channel 4 journalist Hawker reports to F-H UK managing director Scott Clark.
