Hook brings extensive governmental policy, strategy and communications experience to the role, having previously worked in four UK government departments, including as special adviser to Phillip Hammond as Chancellor of the Exchequer. Most recently, he worked with the Investment Association, advising on its government relations strategy.
He will report to Invesco’s general counsel of EMEA, Rupert Rossander.
"We are very pleased to welcome Graham to the team," Rossander said. "His role will form a key part of our increased focus on the way we approach policymakers and regulators at a domestic, regional and international level."
Hook’s appointment follows Invesco's recent appointment of Elizabeth Gillam, who last month became head of EU government relations and public policy.
Invesco has built government relations teams in the UK, US and EMEA, which will work with its corporate communications team to develop tailored stakeholder engagement programmes for each market.
