BENTON HARBOR, MI: Brett Lutz, head of corporate communications at Whirlpool, has exited the company.
Lutz announced his departure on Friday, his last day at Whirlpool, in a LinkedIn post. He had worked at the company since February 2013.
"It’s been a privilege to be an ambassador for this great organization everywhere I go, with every message I write, and with every selfie I take," he said in the LinkedIn post.
Lutz was not available for additional comment.
"While we are always disappointed to lose such a valued member of our communications leadership team, we are excited to see Brett take on new and expanded opportunities in one of the world's largest agribusiness and nutrition providers," said Jeff Noel, VP of comms and public affairs at Whirlpool. "His success is a positive reflection on him and the reputation of Whirlpool as a great hub of talent."
As head of corporate comms, Lutz oversaw all internal and external corporate communications at Whirlpool, according to a biography for the event Work Human. He was responsible for comms strategy, PR and media relations, community relations, crisis comms, and CSR. Lutz began his nearly six-year tenure at Whirlpool in February 2013 as a director of global comms and change management.
He previously spent 16 years at Accenture, according to the bio. Lutz worked with clients including BP, Chevron, and ExxonMobil during his time at Accenture, according to his LinkedIn account.
