Video: PR poised to take the lead, says Bellwether Survey panel

Senior PR pros to lift the lid on the data and analyze what the 2018 Communications Bellwether Survey means for the future of the industry

To coincide with its 20th anniversary, PRWeek U.S. teamed up with Boston University to undertake one of the most comprehensive surveys ever measuring thoughts and opinions of PR/comms professionals. The 2018 Communications Bellwether Survey canvased 1,500 PR pros to find out what factors are influencing their day-to-day jobs and the trends shaping the profession.

During the PRWeek Conference on October 18 in Chicago, Boston University professors and other PR professionals joined PRWeek's Steve Barrett for a panel discussion on the data.

Panelist Arunima Krishna, assistant professor of PR for the College of Communication at Boston University, noted 60% of respondents said their companies somewhat or completely integrate PR, comms, and marketing together.

Joining Barrett and Krishna to discuss the survey were BU professor Donald Wright, Pinterest's Christine Schirmer, and Ford's Marisa Bradley.
