Doran, who joined in December 2017 from Unity, where she had been MD for five years, has taken voluntary redundancy and departed earlier this month. M&C Saatchi PR confirmed that Doran’s role will not be replaced.

Her appointment at M&C Saatchi PR saw co-founder Chris Hides promoted to global MD amid a push towards international expansion.

Global CEO Molly Aldridge said: "Dav has played a significant role within the UK business, facilitating change and new works of working and it was a mutual agreement for her to leave the agency at this time. We wish her all the best for the future and I have no doubt she’ll be super successful in her next chapter."

Doran was appointed by M&C Saatchi to work with some of the agency’s biggest UK clients – including Dixons Carphone, Alibaba, Lipton, BT/EE and Nude by Nature – and grow its client roster.

At Unity, Doran worked on briefs including M&S, Baileys, GSK and Coca-Cola. Her CV also includes Cake Group and a period as a freelancer.

She told PRWeek: "I thoroughly enjoyed working with the team and their brilliant clients, but it felt like the right time to move on and explore new possibilities. I have the highest regard for the agency and wish them every continued success into 2019 and beyond."

Last week, M&C Saatchi CEO David Kershaw told PRWeek the the group’s PR businesses – which include M&C Saatchi PR, M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment and Talk PR – are doing "better than the group average in terms of growth".

It came as the listed marcoms holding company reported an eight per cent increase in like-for-like gross profit in the first half of the year.

In addition to London, M&C Saatchi PR currently has offices in the UAE, Berlin, New York, LA, Paris, Madrid and Milan. It also works with affiliate agencies elsewhere.
