DIARY: Northern Ireland's finest set up network group

PR professionals and journalists from Northern Ireland now resident in London have formed their first networking group. The group, called the ExPATS Association, already has the backing of a clutch of media heavyweights.

Officers include BT comms director Ted Graham and its first chairman is Mary Fagan, deputy City editor of The Sunday Telegraph. Sir Christopher Bland, BT chairman and former chairman of the BBC's board of governors, is being lined up as the group's first president.

Graham said that aside from the social and networking aspects, it is hoped the group will work towards offering pro bono media and PR support to groups that are striving for peace in the province.

One group that Graham, who moved from Belfast to London in 1968, highlighted was the Northern Ireland Integrated Education Fund, of which he is a board member.

Wannabe members can join by contacting Graham at ted.graham@btinternet.com.
