Moira O'Neill, who has been appointed deputy editor, will drive the
changes. Editor Andrew Pitts said: 'We will improve and increase the
personal finance coverage in the magazine and in special supplements.
Moira's role will be to spearhead that initiative.'
O'Neill was formerly Health Insurance editor and Money Marketing features editor. She replaces David Prosser, who moved to the Daily Express as personal finance editor of its daily and Sunday editions (PRWeek, 26 October 2001).
Pitt added: 'There is a need to address younger readers on pension planning, for example.' Case studies on ISAs, mortgages and health insurance would also be important.
Meanwhile, MoneyObserver.com is to offer subscribers an electronic version of the title.
