Tesco's Milton saddles up at Mobike

A former comms leader at Tesco and eBay has been appointed by Chinese bikesharing company Mobike as international comms director. Steve Milton (pictured) is based in London and charged with helping the company's international expansion. Mobike was founded in 2016 and now operates in 200 cities. Before Mobike, Milton was Tesco's campaigns director, having previously spent eight years as European comms director at eBay. He reports to Beijing-based comms lead Huang Xue.

FTI senior MD heads to NY

Zaman Toleafoa, a senior MD in FTI Consulting UK's comms practice, has transferred to the firm's New York office, where he remains part of its financial services practice, focusing on asset management and b2b financial services. Toleafea, who has been with the firm since 2007, will report to Brian Kennedy as head of the Americas. He moved last week.

Accenture continues acquisitions

Accenture's marcoms acquisition sprees has continued with the purchase of Irish creative firm Rothco, as reported by PRWeek sister title Campaign.

Limelight for Columbia 

Columbia Beach Resort, located on Pissouri Bay in Cyprus, has appointed Limelight PR as its retained PR agency for the UK and Ireland. Work begins on 1 January.
