A study released last week by Deloitte, in association with the Officers’ Association and the Forces in Mind Trust, shows that UK businesses are failing to realise the potential of service leavers. This is despite nearly 2,000 corporates having signed the Armed Forces Covenant – a Ministry of Defence scheme designed to encourage companies to hire veterans.
The report, which was covered in The Sun on Friday, also finds that younger people often assume armed forces veterans are retired, while one in 20 thinks the term 'veteran' refers to looking after sick animals.
The films were produced by the agency The Drive Project, while PR firm Good Relations has supported the programme.
