Brands2Life pair launch agency
James Boyd-Wallis and Guy Corbet, both formerly directors at Brands2Life, have launched PR agency Fourteen Forty. The agency is designed to help businesses connect more successfully with the people, influencers and interest groups with whom their success depends, its founders said. Warren Davey, who founded marketing agency Tipping Point in 2013, and Cameron O’Brien, who has worked for Marks & Spencer and Unilever, have joined as associates.
Peppermint Soda buys creative firm
North West-based agency Peppermint Soda has acquired digital and creative consultancy, Forever Creative, for an undisclosed fee. The acquisition and addition of Forever Creative's staff, including its MD Jane Hudson who becomes client services director, brings Peppermint Soda's headcount to 24.
Sanpower hires Logan
Mark Logan, who spent four years to 2016 as head of comms at the British Consulate in Shanghai, has joined Chinese conglomerate Sanpower Group as head of global comms. Since leaving the consultate he has consulted for the University of Oxford. Sanpower is one of China's largest private companies, with a vast range of properties including retailer House of Fraser, financial services firms, tech brands and more.

Clarion wins drink distributor
Conviviality, a drinks and consumer goods distributor, has appointed Clarion Communications as its retained PR agency in the UK. Clarion’s remit includes consumer and trade media relations and the creation of PR campaigns across its Bibendum, Matthew Clark, Wine Rack and Bargain Booze trading companies.

Specialist crime publisher Bloodhound Books has appointed London agency PHA Media to manage its communications. PHA has been tasked with raising awareness of the brand’s services and core values, while also promoting independent writing talent across the UK, the agency said.
