Brands2Life pair launch agency

James Boyd-Wallis and Guy Corbet, both formerly directors at Brands2Life, have launched PR agency Fourteen Forty. The agency is designed to help businesses connect more successfully with the people, influencers and interest groups with whom their success depends, its founders said. Warren Davey, who founded marketing agency Tipping Point in 2013, and Cameron O’Brien, who has worked for Marks & Spencer and Unilever, have joined as associates.

Peppermint Soda buys creative firm

North West-based agency Peppermint Soda has acquired digital and creative consultancy, Forever Creative, for an undisclosed fee. The acquisition and addition of Forever Creative's staff, including its MD Jane Hudson who becomes client services director, brings Peppermint Soda's headcount to 24.

Sanpower hires Logan

Mark Logan, who spent four years to 2016 as head of comms at the British Consulate in Shanghai, has joined Chinese conglomerate Sanpower Group as head of global comms. Since leaving the consultate he has consulted for the University of Oxford. Sanpower is one of China's largest private companies, with a vast range of properties including retailer House of Fraser, financial services firms, tech brands and more.

WE wins MSC

Global non-profit organisation the Marine Stewardship Council has appointed WE to provide strategic counsel and content development to support its comms and outreach work. The account is led from London.

Clarion wins drink distributor

Conviviality, a drinks and consumer goods distributor, has appointed Clarion Communications as its retained PR agency in the UK. Clarion’s remit includes consumer and trade media relations and the creation of PR campaigns across its Bibendum, Matthew Clark, Wine Rack and Bargain Booze trading companies.

Hires at WA Health

WA's health practice, led by Jenny Ousbey, has appointed two new account directors; Huntsworth Health's Stan Jackson and Peter Wasson of the Royal College of Physicians. Emily Cameron has been promoted to senior account director.

PHA picks up crime publisher

Specialist crime publisher Bloodhound Books has appointed London agency PHA Media to manage its communications. PHA has been tasked with raising awareness of the brand’s services and core values, while also promoting independent writing talent across the UK, the agency said.

Fusion teams up with tech fitness brand

Tech fitness brand Wahoo Fitness, which designs smart trainers, bike computers and heart rate monitors, has appointed Fusion Media to handle its UK PR. The agency’s remit includes increasing awareness of Wahoo’s products in specialist and national media, as well as launching new products.

Clarity brings in Birch

Tech specialist Clarity PR has appointed Alex Birch as director of client services. She was previously head of start-ups and fast growth at Albion Drive, and before that worked at Peppermint Soda and Weber Shandwick.

Common Industry hired by Boden

Common Industry has been appointed by online fashion retailer Boden to provide strategic consultancy and comms support to a new global purpose-drive campaign.
