Lewis hires Asif Husain as U.S. head of brand marketing

An Ogilvy veteran, Husain is joining the agency with a focus on strategy and creative council.

SAN FRANCISCO: Lewis has hired Asif Husain as its U.S. head of brand marketing, the firm said on Thursday.

Husain, a former SVP of Ogilvy New York and San Francisco, is tasked with "expanding the delivery of creative, integrated campaigns for top clients," according to a statement from Lewis. He will also oversee Lewis’ media strategy group and support the executive visibility offering Lewis ExPro, which launched last month. Husain will also develop programs for global AOR clients by "instituting multi-territory programs and optimizing account structures," the firm said in a statement.

Previously, Husain managed brand marketing and tech teams for clients at Ogilvy and ran the technology practice group of the New York office, among other responsibilities. He also led work on the LG Mobile and Volvo Trucks of North America.

Prior, Husain worked at Fusion Public Relations, Global Results Communications, and Novero, according to his LinkedIn account.
