Xerox is turning to influencers of the non-social-media variety to show off its cultural relevance. The company is releasing a book on Monday with short stories and essays from icons including writer Joyce Carol Oates and singer Aimee Mann. The Xerox brand name is mentioned only a few times in the book, entitled "Speaking of Work: A story of Love, Suspense, and Paperclips," according to The New York Times.
Aramco chief swats away IPO rumors. Amin Nasser, the CEO of oil giant Saudi Aramco, told CNBC over the weekend that the company’s potentially record-setting IPO is still on track for next year, despite reports to the contrary. Aramco has asked FTI Consulting to halt its investor relations advisory services for its planned IPO, Reuters reported last week.
Noticed that President Trump is tweeting less often about Russia? That’s because White House lawyer Ty Cobb has intervened and convinced the president to tweet less often (and less ferociously) about Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, according to Politico. Notice: few if any tweets about "witch hunts" since late July, according to the website.
Not everyone digs Timberlake’s Super Bowl berth. The NFL said on Sunday that singer and actor Justin Timberlake will be the star attraction at next February’s Super Bowl 52 halftime show. Not everyone is happy. Fans of Janet Jackson, who like Timberlake was involved in the infamous "wardrobe malfunction" at the Super Bowl in 2004, are using social media to demand a cameo for the singer.
Twitter plans safety changes. The company has published a calendar of expected safety updates, starting with more stringent policies on non-consensual nudity that will be rolled out on Friday. It’s also planning updates to crack down on groups promoting violence late this year, according to Campaign.
