Smartphone brand Wileyfox calls on Manifest
British smartphone maker Wileyfox has appointed Manifest as its retained PR agency to handle consumer comms. Manifest said it has already helped Wileyfox develop its brand identity and consumer proposition through its BrandManifesto service. The six-figure brief will include Wileyfox’s global brand strategy, incorporating ongoing national and regional public relations campaigns, content creation and social media management briefs.
Diffusion hired for flagship Hilton hotel
Hilton London Bankside has appointed Diffusion as its retained comms agency to handle its consumer, business and trade PR programme following a competitive pitch. Activity will have a particular focus on raising awareness of the hotel’s urban design credentials, the agency said. The incumbent agency was Sauce Communications.
Battersea Dogs & Cats Home enlists Premier for fundraiser
Battersea Dogs & Cats Home has hired comms agency Premier to manage PR for the Collars & Coats Gala fundraising event, which takes place at the Battersea Evolution centre on 2 November. Debbie Chapman, head of media and PR at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, said: "Battersea’s Collars & Coats Gala Ball is our biggest fundraiser of the year, featuring a world-famous doggie guard of honour with over 30 of our homeless dogs on the red carpet to meet our guests. We’re looking forward to working with Premier to help ensure the night is a huge success."
Hydra hires new partner
Hydra Strategy, the agency co-founded in January by former MD of Bell Pottinger's Corporate & Financial practice MD Stephen Benzikie, has hired private equity specialist Sam Barton as a partner. The former financial journalist joins from Equus, a specialist private equity PR firm, where he was a partner and led programmes for financial and corporate clients globally. Hydra was among PRWeek’s list of seven new PR agencies to watch in 2017.
