Hodgkinson joined Bell Pottinger earlier this year, serving in the agency's financial and corporate practice. Prosek Partners told PRWeek he was not involved in Bell Pottinger's infamous work in South Africa, which ultimately led to the agency being placed in administration earlier this month.
Starting in his new role today, Hodgkinson has been tasked with developing Prosek's London office alongside Andrew Waterworth, who leads the agency.
The predominantly US-based agency also has offices in New York, Los Angeles and Connecticut, and handles PR for clients from across the b2b, fintech and asset management sectors.
Prior to joining Bell Pottinger, Hodgkinson was head of internal and external communications for the Americas at financial services company Nomura - a current client of Prosek's.
Before this and earlier in his career, he was press officer for global markets at banking group Merrill Lynch.
Hodgkinson said: "I have experienced first-hand the quality and talent that Prosek attracts, and have long been impressed by the passion, creativity and dedication that its people bring to each client engagement. I look forward to joining a winning team and to becoming part of the company's bright future."
