TBR picks up Bell Pottinger client

Teneo Blue Rubicon (TBR) has begun an investor relations and reputation consultancy brief with facilities management and construction giant Carillion, previously held by collapsing rival Bell Pottinger. TBR contact details were at the end of a note sent to the City earlier this week about FTSE-listed Carillion's finance director Zafar Khan leaving after less than a year in post. Bell Pottinger had won the brief just last year, and began work in January 2017. Prior to that, it was Finsbury for several years. TBR declined to comment.

Sports hack hired by Big

Graeme Macpherson, a Scottish sports writer with nearly two decades standing, latterly at The Herald, has joined Big Partnership as a senior account manager. He will work on several of Big’s sports clients, including the Scottish Professional Football League and Scottish Rugby. The firm is headquartered in Scotland but has opened offices elsewhere in the UK in recent years, most recently in Manchester.
