OPINION: Who can the Ulrika PR Svengali be?
The public this week echoed the widespread view of the PR industry
that the affair between England soccer manager Sven-Goran Eriksson and
TV presenter Ulrika Johnson was a mere PR stunt. Just under 60 per cent
in our exclusive NOP poll believe the only sweet nothings being offered
between the pair were press tip-offs.
One question remains though. If it is a PR stunt, who is responsible?
The contenders are plentiful: Sidgwick & Jackson, publishers of
Jonsson's forthcoming autobiography; Naxos, the firm behind Eriksson's
CD; and England team suit makers Burton's have all done well. Would the
real campaign organiser please stand up.
