MBO at Orchard
Multi-sector agency Orchard PR has been through a management buyout. Former account directors Brooke Kenyon and Chris Chilton now lead the business as client services director and operations director respectively, having acquired the firm from Steve and Lois Falla, who set it up in 1996. The Guernsey-based agency employs 13 people and also has clients in Jersey and the Isle of Man. Yesterday, PRWeek reported another MBO involving a husband-and-wife team being bought out, at BDB.
Camron hired by designer
The UK and US agency Camron PR has been appointed by GHYCZY, a maker of high-end furniture, lighting and home accessories. The family business was founded by designer and architect Peter Ghyczy in 1971. The agency ranked 100th in the 2017 PRWeek Top 150.
Accounting brief for The PR Office
The PR Office has been appointed by Moore Stephens on a brief to raise the profile of the top ten accounting firm's corporate finance team. The launch of a new tech barometer report kicked off work, in July. The account team will be led by Shimon Cohen, who set the agency up in 2004.
Nutrition firm Entice-d by new agency
Entice PR has been reappointed to handle the UK PR for sports nutrition brand Grenade. It follows its launch of Grenade's Carb Killa protein bars in 2015, and the new brief will include the launch of a new product.
Something Blue ties knot on new clients
Something Blue PR, a specialist agency exclusively serving the luxury wedding and events sectors, has been appointed by two new clients. It will help launch the new French stationery brand Atelier Rosemood in the UK market, and has also begun work for Divine Day Photography, which works across the UK and Europe.
Lily Blanche appoints Palompo PR
Scottish jewellery brand Lily Blanche, whose fans include tennis coach and pundit Judy Murray, has appointed Palompo PR to handle its press and publicity.
