MEDIA: New Woman set to beef up its fashion content in revamp

New Woman magazine is to expand fashion and beauty coverage following reader research that indicated an increased demand in that area.

From the June issue, the magazine is introducing eight extra fashion pages - taking the total fashion count to 36.

Within the new section there will be a trend-led fashion section called '100 under £100' featuring 100 different items from the high street shops.

For the first time, coverage will also include premium, international designer fashion as one of the magazine's three big fashion features.

Fashion director Lizanne Davies said: 'Now we will have much more directional and inspirational fashion from the catwalk, which reflects the way our readers dress.'

The Emap Elan magazine saw an eight per cent year-on-year circulation increase, taking it to 305,088 in February.
