Sutherland takes managing director job at MMD London

Tech PR firm MMD has appointed David Sutherland as managing director of its London office.

He replaced Debbie Smith, who left for undisclosed reasons and was understood to be on holiday as PRWeek went to press.

Sutherland joined late last month from Berkshire-based Eclipse Marketing, where he spent two years as a director.

He has also taken charge of MMD's sister design consultancy, Kokoro.

MMD has 15 staff in London, while Kokoro employs eight at its office in Newbury. MMD has partner offices in central and eastern Europe, where it employs more than 100 staff overall.

Prior to Eclipse, Sutherland was managing director of Berkshire-based channel marketing agency CTC. Before that he was commercial director of Broadway Communications and before that spent five years as MD of McCarthy, Cosby & Paul.

MMD London has a 12-strong client-list, including connectivity products firm Belkin, French mediation software provider VoluBill and global communication services provider Infonet.
