The briefing will feature a panel discussion with Advertising Standards Authority CEO Guy Parker and Competition and Marketing Authority project director Jon Riley.
They will talk about how to stay within the rules when working with influencers. It follows recent high profile cases of regulations being flouted – and research that found just under half of UK PR professionals and marketers are failing to adhere to official guidelines.
A question and answer session with the duo will also be held.
In addition, the event will include presentations of campaigns shortlisted in the Best Influencer Marketing Campaign category at the PRWeek Awards.
Confirmed so far are Chris McCafferty, founder of Kaper, who will discuss La Maison Maille's Fête de la Gastronomie campaign; and Gemma Pears, co-founder of Alfred, who will talk about the All About Mama campaign for mindfulness app MindPilot.
More case studies are to be confirmed. Representatives of the campaigns will also take part in a panel session and Q&A.
The event takes place from 8.30am until 10.30am on Wednesday 13 September at Regent Street Cinema in central London. Tickets cost £49+VAT for PRWeek subscribers and £89+VAT for non-subscribers.
