Kingdom of Sweets hires Frank PR
Confectionery retailer Kingdom of Sweets has hired Frank PR for a consumer brief. It will include the launch of a 10,000 sq ft store in central London, billed as Europe’s biggest sweet shop, and subsequent openings across the UK. The brief will also promote its new e-commerce site to consumers.
Vigo advises on £620m AIM flotations
Vigo has advised on two AIM flotations in the energy and TMT sectors, raising more than £620m for the clients. The agency supported Hurricane Energy plc, the UK-based oil and gas company, on its £400m+ fundraising. It also advised CityFibre plc, the fibre optic infrastructure company, on its £215 million fundraising and acquisition of Entanet. Both were existing Vigo clients.
Sportswear firm 2XU hires Canoe for EMEA brief
Sportswear brand 2XU has appointed London-based creative communications agency Canoe to oversee all PR and social media activity across EMEA. Canoe will be tasked with conveying the benefits of 2XU technology and raising awareness of the brand and product range across EMEA.
Yorkshire PR firms Boxkik and Moule Media announce partnership
Two Yorkshire PR and communications companies have announced a partnership. Boxkik, the agency owned by former Sun industrial correspondent Tony Maguire, and Moule Media, owned by local newspaper veteran Robin Moule, are to work together to "provide clients with full-service strategic communications – traditional PR, social media, crisis communications, marketing materials and coaching". They are targeting businesses in the region.
Wealth management firm Brewin Dolphin appoints Petersens PR
Wealth management and financial planning firm Brewin Dolphin has appointed Cardiff-based agency Petersens PR to raise the profile of the firm in Wales. The appointment followed a competitive tender process. Brewin Dolphin is one of the largest independently owned private client wealth managers in the UK, with the company dating back more than 250 years.
Refresh PR wins construction clients
Manchester-based agency Refresh PR has announced two new construction industry clients. Student accommodation developer and management company CityBlock has hired Refresh PR to manage comms around its entry into new markets, as well as the sale and exit from others. The agency has also been appointed to handle PR for CFS (Complete Flooring Solutions), the manufacturer of products aimed at architects, contractors and designers.
